There
are a variety of resources available on the www that accelerate our
ability to get the research and development done. Following is a list
of our favorites:
Projects
we are involved in:
- NIH/NHLBI
Program in Genomic Applications -
Project 1, use of microarray on mouse models to identify human
gene candidates for cardiac illness. We also handle all the informatics
and data submission/archival.
- NIH/NCI
Advanced Technology Program - This program funds our work on
the DOC arrays
and their application to cancer research.
- NIH/NCI
SPORE Program - In collaboration with John Minna, we use gene
expression microarrays to understand lung cancer. We also provide
arrays and analysis service to all other NIH/NCI SPORE research
groups.
- State
of Texas ARP - Two of our projects are funded by the State
of Texas, including the development of the hyperspectral
imaging microscope and the work on Snide to
identify SNPs.
- Beckman
Coulter Collaboration - We are using the CEQ to sequence difficult
regions and share our data with Beckman so that improvements can
be made to base calling software. We are also developing codes
for alignment and SNP calling.
- BioThreat
Data Repository - We are currently working on a www-accessible
data warehouse for those researching biological warfare pathogens.
